Great Dunes Walk
A morning traverse of the shifting dune landscape. Learn how these dunes form and move, and the specialized plants and animals that survive here.
We start at the edge of the sand and follow the wind-sculpted ridges out toward the ocean, stopping often to look closely at beach grass, tracks, and the small signs of life that most visitors walk right past. Your guide will share the geology and ecology of this ever-changing place, and how it has shaped life on the Outer Cape for centuries.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring water, sun protection, and a camera. Groups are kept small so there's plenty of time for questions.
